Plan Your Goals

When coming up with a title for this post, Plan Your Goals felt perfect because this post is all about identifying that one thing we would like to accomplish and establish measurable goals towards it.

Once you have decided what it is you want to do, be it a holiday, course, new job, etc, you have to go slow and establish baby steps towards it. You mustn't put pressure on yourself to achieve your goal in one giant leap. I'm not saying it's impossible, just that you shouldn't put pressure on yourself to get there quickly. In establishing goals, you also want to set yourself a time frame to fit them into.

There are plenty of resources online to help you do this. Particularly the helpful acronym SMART;

  • S – Specific (or Significant).
  • M – Measurable (or Meaningful).
  • A – Attainable (or Action-Oriented).
  • R – Relevant (or Rewarding).
  • T – Time-bound (or Trackable).
So, your task for this week is to start planning your goals. This means once you have them, put them into your planner! Get creative and create a visual board of each step you need to take. You can also share your experiences, ideas, creative pages, etc in the group! Don't forget to come up with affirmations to help you too. Here's one to get you started:

Feel free to print this off for your journal/planner.
